The Magic of Space

Space is an infinite, intelligence field of energy and forces that generate life. It is as dynamic as it is still and awe-inspiring. Those who have ventured out beyond the atmosphere of Earth often have been transformed by what they experienced. In many ways we are made out of the elements that are found in space, and the mystery of that connection can at times be mesmerizing as we look up at the night sky. The images offered here are by courtesy of NASA, STScl, and Visible Earth. Some come from Hubble, from Apollo 17,  some the International Space Station, and various orbiting crafts as they monitor the weather, volcanoes, earth changes and so on. They are meant to be of service to science and the public, and are great teaching tools for kids. (Image on the right is from the James Webb telescope

Several mugs have two different scenes on them from separate parts of the world, so there is a small gap between the images. Be aware that the enamel cups with the metal rim should not go in the dishwasher or microwave! Most of them are ceramic and they are fine in either dishwasher or microwave.

We can see how diverse aspects of the creation fit together in a living mosaic as they interact in a way that promotes the well-being and balance of her main elements of earth, air, water, and fire. Life wouldn’t exist without them. These cups are a great reminder  that from a distance that lends an overview of events, we can better understand how it all fits together.

    Space waterscapes

Seeing bodies of water from above is almost as captivating as seeing the sky from below. We intuitively know how vital water is, which is why we seek out opportunities to immerse ourselves in it in one form or another. These cups can remind us that we are part of an immense universe functioning as an interconnected existence that remains available as a source of serenity and awe.

    Planets

Since ancient times our ancestors have been following the stars and the constellations, and appreciating the influence of these grand energies upon our lives. Even from millions of miles away they exert their influence according to mathematical precision.  Using these cups remind us that the laws of Nature are far-reaching as well as active inside of us, because we are part of this vast universe. In many ways, we can see them as living, intelligent beings.
